Welcome to Finissage of the exhibition "Oss Emellan - Havet" at the Nordic Institute in Åland! Take the opportunity to meet Johanna Brådd & Ninnie Schröder - they will tell you more about the exhibition and the project "Oss Emellan".

They will, during this event, talk about their artistic cooperation and how their creative dialogue work, but also how the project will continue in the future. They will also present a brand new work of art, that they created together in Åland in connection with the exhibition.

The sea binds them and us together, but it also separates people. A common component of Johanna Brådd's and Ninnie Schröder's artistry is the desire for sea and water. The sea and its moods are a motive and often a source of inspiration, that they both often return to.

Together, they now want to experiment with the spatial design in their photo art in this exhibition. They want to mix the traditional way of displaying images with new materials and installations.

About Ninnie Schröder (SE)

Ninnie Schröder has, since graduating from Novia University of Applied Sciences in Finland, worked both artistically and as a freelance photographer. In her photo art, she explores the boundaries of photography and the ability to tell. The line between reality and imagination is often present in a timeless presence.

About Johanna Brådd (FI)

Johanna tells us that she sees every photograph as a little story. Through photo-artistic creation, she wants to see and tell. "-I mainly want to be in the Finnish archipelago to be inspired and further develop my photo-artistic creation. Nature's formations is really captivating and uninhabited places depict stories from another age." says Johanna.
