Linnea Selanders Pluto´s Baby - this year's contribution in Días Nórdicos

Días Nórdicos is an annual festival that presents various forms of Nordic culture in Spanish-speaking countries, both in Europe and Latin America. The Nordic Institute in Åland (Nipå) has for the last four years collaborated with other Nordic countries to help ensure that the culturalfestival also contains contributions from Åland. This year, the festival takes place on October 5th - 6th in Espacio Fundación Telefónica in the heart of Madrid and this year Nipå will send Linnea Selander!

Pluto's Baby is a project by Ålandic Linnéa Selander. The music is a mix of the sweetness of a good night's saga and the mystique of the night with an almost spherical expression. She has a silky and yet at the same time pompous voice, with a look that takes a natural place on the musical stage. And we believe that she has a bright future with her music.

Linnéa was born in Åland, but currently lives in Malmö (Sweden) where she as of a couple of years ago started working on the expression that she today expresses in her music. Linnea's songs are about love and sorrow, a desire to give up, but still try to find an inner strength for the dreams to come to life. Linnea will perform at Días Nórdicos on October 6th. The day before (October 5th) we can see the Greenlandic Simon Lynge´s duo and the Faroese rock Son of Fortune. At the same day that Pluto's Baby will perform, you can also see the Danish Ida Wenøe's duo on stage.

Nipå sees Días Nórdicos as a very fruitful collaboration as it means a lot to the Åland artists who have participated over the last 4 years. Participants have the opportunity to network as the collaboration includes, in addition to the well-attended concerts, workshops that give the participants the opportunity to exchange experiences, learn from each other, create music together and be inspired by others.

Días Nórdicos is partly funded with support from The Nordics.
