Storytelling evenings

The Nordic Literature Week dedicate three evenings to stories, literature and food at Pub Stallhagen. Take the chance to eat fantastic food and listen to interesting discussions about literature and storytelling of the Åland islands. The evenings celebrate literature of Åland as well as its oral storytelling tradition. The event is a part of the Åland 100 celebration and the Nordic literature week. The theme for Nordic Literature Week is "Dreams and Longing in the Nordics".

Wednesday November 17th at 7 pm

Participants: Sherin Moussa, Doris Ingman.  

Sherin Moussa is a student at Ålands yrkesgymnasium and arrived to the Åland islands three years ago as a Syrian refugee. A lot of her time she devotes to her paintings, which is a passion of hers, and she has participated in art exhibitions in the past. Come and listen to her story of the traumatic escape but also her reflections on how different places can change your dreams and desires.

Doris Ingman s a poet and a writer. She was born 1936 in Åttböle, Finström and have now reached the full age of 85. Doris has had poems and books published over the years, including a children's book. She has also worked as a language consultant. This evening she dedicates to the poetic storytelling and she will be reading some of her poems about love.
