Two different lifes - open conversation

In connection with the exhibition "Sailors' patronesses", the Nordic Institute invites you to a open conversation session - an evening with converations on the theme "Two different lifes", on 10 August at 18-20.

On Åland, there are many who live with a sailor, or as part of a family where a family member spends a lot of time at sea. There are many who can recognize themselves in the difficulties of such a life, and sometimes have the feeling that you live "two different lifes". The conversation evening on August 10th is for everyone who wants to listen or talk about experiences and reflections. How do YOU experience it? What is good in YOUR situation, what is difficult? You are welcome to just come and listen, but you are also welcome to tell us more about your feelings, thoughts and experiences.

The talks will be led by Hanna Hagmark, historian and museum director. Participating in the conversation is among others Isabella Grüssner-Sarling, screenwriter and director of "My Two Half Lives - a sailor's wife's prayers and balancing acts", a monologue based on Hanna Hagmark's research.

Please note that the talks will be held in swedish.
