Soaré at Alandica in connection with Nordic Literature Week, 19 November 2021

Welcome to a cultural party!

During one very special evening at Alandica, Åland and Nordic literature is celebrated with a variety of creative expressions. The Soaré is arranged in connection with the Nordic Literature Week and will highlights literature and the art of storytelling with different kinds of art forms, and is part of the Åland100 celebration!

This cultural party offers panel discussions, a children's choir, dance and exciting interpretations of and about literature. Peter Hägerstrand will play newly composed Ålandic poems together with the band "Badhusepoken". The actor from the Åland islands Erik Enge takes the stage this evening to talk about his critically acclaimed work with the movie "Tigrar" as well as future projects. "Tigrar" is Sweden´s submission for the Oscars 2021. The children's book author and HBL's cultural director Fredrik Sonck leads a literature discussion on writing for children from a diversity perspective. Participating are authors from all over the Nordic region and are Hannamari Ruohonen (AX), Bolatta Silis-Høegh (GL), Ole Kristian Løyning (NO) and Ylva Karlsson (SE). Johanna Grüssner composes her own song at the grand piano where she this evening interprets compositions for texts by Ålandic authors.
