Literature days: Vigdis Hjorth (NO)

In collaboration with Mariehamn's Literature Days, March 21-25, 2019, NIPÅ invites you to an interview with one of Norway's great debated authors, Vigdis Hjorth.

The book "Heritage and Environment", which was published in Norway in 2016 (and in Swedish 2018), became an audience and criticism breakthrough and has been debated and discussed extensively. The novel is about sexual abuse, family secrets, guilt and paralyzing life lies. A woman's struggle for bering the owner of her own story and the difficult family and parents' relationships. The book is Vigdis Hjorths (born 1959) great breakthrough, but she is no beginner, she has published 30 books in several genres.

The novel has been sold in 150,000 copies, to be published in 18 countries and has been nominated for the Nordic Council Literature Prize.

We look forward to an exciting writer talk and welcome Vigdis Hjorth to Åland in collaboration with the Litteraturdagarna.
