From January 2019, Sabine Westerholm from Finland will take on the role of director of The Nordic House in Reykjavik. One of her main ambitions is to develop the programme for children and young people.

“  It’ll be fascinating to join The Nordic House in Reykjavik as its new director. Its many excellent facilities puts it in a great position to serve as a Nordic hub in Iceland. In short, The Nordic House will continue to be a natural co-operation partner in Nordic projects in Iceland for both local and Nordic organisations,” Westerholm said in a statement.

“ – I want The Nordic House to serve as a platform for discussion on current issues in the Nordic arena. My goals will be to develop cohesive programmes that transcend the boundaries of different areas of the arts, and to develop a first-rate programme for children and young people.”
