Here are the winners of the Nordic Council's prizes 2020! We say congratulations to Monika Fagerholm, Jens Mattsson, Jenny Lucander, Dag Johan Haugerud, Yngve Sæther, Sampo Haapamäki and Jens-Kjeld Jensen, who all received the Nordic Council's 2020 prizes at the digital award ceremony on Tuesday evening.
Unfortunately, there were no prizes this time for the Åland nominees, but we at the Nordic Institute on Åland think that it is a win, and a recognition in itself, just to be nominated. Karin Erlandsson was nominated for the children's and youth literature prize, Torbjörn Eckerman and Ålands Natur och Miljö for the environmental prize and Mikaela Nyman for the literature prize.
Covid-19 put a stop to the planned award ceremony in Iceland and the winners of the five awards were instead revealed during a different and "glamorous" award party online.
