The Nordic Institute on Åland (NIPÅ) is producing in collaboration with Nautical a big band night on November 6th with Alandia Big Band and eight amazing soloists!

Three-course meal and concert
The big band concert is done in cooperation with Restaurang Nautical in Mariehamn, and only booked diners have the opportunity to see the concert. A wonderful three course menu will be served for 55 euros, drinks will be added. Dinner is served at 18-20, and then afterwards concert at 20-21. An entire evening that you simply must not miss if you like good food, big band music and jazz!

About Alandia Big Band
Alandia Big Band is a classic big band that has been on stage for over 30 years. The band consists of about 20 people, all amateur and semi-professional musicians active in Åland.
Right now the band is led by saxophonist Edward Furbacken. Previously, the band has been led by, among others, Lasse Sundblom, Fredrik Erlandsson and Stefan Simonsen and Åke Hillar. In festival contexts, the band has previously played with artists such as Antti Sarpila, Micke Sörensen, Caroline Wennergren, Elisabeth Ekman, Claes Yngström, Ronnie Svenblad, Peter Asplund and Lars Jansson.
Big bands are something very special. The interplay in a larger orchestra gives an extra dynamic and that Åland has its very own big band is something to be proud of!
So now we hope for a fantastic big band night, where we get the opportunity to show off our islands fantastic big band together with so many different wonderful local soloists!
