CREATE - presentation meeting

Are you interested in more information about the Swedish Cultural Foundation's major investment in art education for children and young people SKAPA (in translation CREATE)? We welcome you to a presentation meeting and counseling session on September 21st at 14.00 at Alandica.

The Swedish Cultural Foundation writes: "Accessibility and equality are the major challenges in art education in Swedish in Finland." The same can be said to apply to Åland. Together with other actors on Åland, NIPÅ wishes to contribute to and strengthen children and young people's opportunities to experience and take part in art and culture, creative activities and to be able to participate in art education.

Goals for the Swedish Cultural Foundation's investment

  • CREATE well-being
  • CREATE creativity
  • CREATE structure

We want to encourage municipalities and educational actors to create new structures, collaborations, networks and study paths so that the resources are sufficient for more and better art education. Good education and training opportunities for art teachers provide high-quality art teaching.

The Swedish Culture Foundation's ombudsman Åsa Rosenberg tells about the investment and answers questions regarding projects on Åland.

Yvonne Törneroos Cultural Planner, Education and Culture Department talk about "Creative Kids".

Director Kim Larsen and project manager Grete Sneltvedt talk about NIPÅ's investment project "Springboard".

You will have the opportunity to ask questions and/or share your own thoughts and ideas for collaborations and ventures.

We hope to be able to form an open conversation about thoughts about art education and art mediation for children and young people and the importance of art and culture.

The meeting is arranged in collaboration between the Nordic Institute on Åland, the Cultural Agency on Åland and the Swedish Cultural Foundation
