Cultural power

"Kulturkraft" (translated into english: cultural power) is a project that makes culture possible for Åland schools. Kulturkraft aims to offer elementary school students on Åland a rich and free range of artistic experiences in their school environment. The first step is an Open Call where cultural actors on Åland are invited to apply to be part of the offer. A selection committee then selects a number of projects, which are presented in a catalog where the schools themselves can choose one or more that suit their wishes and needs. Based on their selection, the artists then visit the school in the period 15 March 2023 - May 2024.

Closeness of life - World distance

A digital watercolor exhibition about spaces, longing and contentment by Birgitta Eriksson. In today's world of almost unlimited digital proximity and accessibility, man and nature remain in analog form, affected but also fundamentally unchanged. The distance between can vary, both physically and emotionally. A digital exhibition is in itself distanced, and the format is therefore particularly well suited to reinforce the theme of Life Proximity - World Distance.

Ingmar Lundberg - photo exhibition

" I fell in love with the art of photography when I became familiar with French street photography in the 1960s, and my great role model was Henri Cartier-Bresson. He photographed intuitively and so do I. Often it is the decisive moment that counts, but sometimes you have more time, and then you can compose the picture. Before the serious traffic accident in 1983, I mostly photographed in black and white, after that color came into the picture. I became more subjective, and half of the images in the exhibition become more semi-abstract with a symbolic meaning. I am a romantic and a minimalist by nature. I still photograph but to a much smaller extent than before. You have to do what you love to do as long as you can!” says Ingmar Lundberg.
